Apertium

Collect a list of 40-70 separable multiwords in any language

For an overview of Apertium’s separable multiwords problem, consider the following set of sentences:

(1) I take out the rubbish.

(2) I take the rubbish out.

'Separable multiwords' are multi-word expressions that are separated by something in the middle. In the set of sentences above, 'take out' is a multiword verb because it's two words that together form one word. When it is separated by the noun phrase 'the rubbish', it becomes a separable multiword.

Your task is to collect a list of 40-70 such separable words in any language, except for English. The language of your choice does not need to be currently supported by Apertium, but please pop onto the IRC to discuss your choice with a mentor before proceeding. For each multiword you find, also include an English translation--"gloss"-- of it. Furthermore, for each multiword, include at least one example of some word or phrase that can "separate" it. (You might find that most of your separable words are phrasal verbs.)

Upload your list onto the Apertium wiki here: http://wiki.apertium.org/wiki/Apertium_separable/GCI_2017/xxx-eng, where xxx is your language's ISO-3 code. See example, and feel free to change the table format to fit your needs. More information on using MediaWiki tables: here
